We know you will have questions and hope the following information may help answer some of those, if not, then please get in touch either by email, phone or on the contact page and we will be only too happy to answer any queries you may have.
What Dogs Do We Take
- We only take small to small/medium size dogs - approximately up to Cocker Spaniel size.
- We don't accept dogs that have shown aggression toward people or other animals, or any dogs registered under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
- We only accept dogs which haven't been neutered at our discretion.
- We accept unspayed bitches but NOT if they are due in season or are in season.
- We unfortunately can't accept any pregnant bitches.
- We don't accept persistent barkers.
- We don't accept dogs that aren't toilet trained or mark in our home.
- We are happy to take any dog over the age of 5 months additional fees may apply.
- We can take dogs who require medication, we will need to discuss this with you before accepting a booking.
Making a Booking
- We can take bookings by email or telephone. Once we have organised your reservation dates, we will send you an email with a copy of our Booking Form, which includes a Dog Information Form, where we ask you to tell us everything we need to know to ensure we look after your dog exactly as you would like us to. The more detail you give us the better we can provide the best possible service for you and your dog.
- All initial bookings are subject to a trial familiarisation session to ensure both parties are happy with the arrangement, it may also be beneficial to have an overnight trial, which we will discuss with you at the familiarisation meeting.
- Bookings are not confirmed until the dog information form and the booking agreement are returned along with a booking fee of 25% of the total cost of the stay.
- You or the boarder may cancel the booking by notifying the other party in writing within 48 hours of the familiarisation session. If bookings are cancelled in this period the deposit will be refunded.
- Any outstanding balance is due 14 days before the start of your dog’s stay, cleared funds, no cheques.
- Boarding fees will not be refunded if you collect your dog early.
Cancellations
- Your booking fee is non-refundable if you cancel your booking.
- If you cancel your booking within 14 days of the boarding start date, the full amount will be due as we are unlikely to be able to fill the space and will have made provision to have your dog/s.
- If you return early we will be unable to offer any refunds. We will be happy to provide details for insurance purposes if this is required.
Christmas & Bank Holiday Charges
- Stays which encompass a Bank Holiday* have an extra charge of £10.00 per dog per day.
- Stays which encompass Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, Good Friday & Easter Sunday* have an extra charge of £25.00 per dog per day. *NB This includes pick up and / or drop off day.
Equipment, Bedding & Toys
- We have a selection of bedding and toys at The Noble Dog Hotel but if you would like to send your dog(s) with their own bed and favourite toys from home, you are welcome to, as this can help them settle in and feel at home.
- We will supply you with a checklist of equipment and things to bring on our booking form.
- DUE TO COVID THERE ARE CERTAIN RESTRICTIONS ON WHAT YOU CAN BRING FOR YOU DOG - WE WILL ADVISE AT TIME OF BOOKING.
Your Emergency Contact
- It is imperative
your nominated emergency contact is available for the full length of your dogs stay at The Noble Dog Hotel and that we are kept up to date of any changes in contact details.
- Please ensure you have made your emergency contact aware of your dogs stay with us and also please let them have our contact details.
What Can You Expect From Us
- We tailor your dog's stay with us using the information you have supplied on the Booking Form, we will aim to keep to their normal routine as closely as possible, we can also discuss any special requests or requirements.
- The dogs in our care will have access to our large secure garden where they will be able to run off lead safely and every dog will be exercised at least twice per day, with a mixture of walks, garden play and mental stimulation games. We like to take our guests on varied walks, including countryside walks from our house and visits to local National Trust woods and estates. Where possible we would like to be able to let our guests off their leads, if you are happy for them to be off lead we will need your full written consent, which will be included in the Booking Form.
- If for any reason your dog is unable to partake in the walks, we will ensure they still get a minimum of 2 sessions of enrichment and stimulation per day.
- Your dogs safety is of the utmost importance, all dogs in our care wear an I.D. tag which is supplied by The Noble Dog Hotel with our contact details on.
- With your permission, dogs will have daily health checks and regular grooming as part of our commitment to their health and welfare.
- Check-in and End of Stay reports are completed for every dog in our care.
- We will keep a Daily Record Card for your dog(s), detailing their exercise and enrichment each day and will supply you with a copy.
- Your dog(s) will be treated as one of our family, with lots of attention, cuddles and play - we will keep our numbers of dog guests low to ensure we are able to give each dog the time and individual attention they need.
- Dogs will have free run of the downstairs of our house, where they can play and relax, lounge in front of the wood burning stoves and AGA or just curl up on the sofa for a cuddle.
- There will always be a responsible adult in the house/garden so they will never be left alone.
Opening Hours
These times are for drop off, pick up and telephone enquiries. Should you need to arrange a different time to those stated below, please do ask and we will do our best to accommodate.
Monday: 8.00 to 6.30
Tuesday: 8.00 to 6.30
Wednesday: 8.00 to 6.30
Thursday: 8.00 to 6.30
Friday: 8.00 to 6.30
Saturday: 9.00 to 5.00
Sunday: We are only open for Drop-off and Pick-up by prior arrangement.
We ask that dogs are dropped off by 10.00 a.m. at the beginning of their stay as this gives them a full day to settle in and meet our other guests.
Food
- We ask that you supply your dogs normal food and we will feed them as per your instructions, including any special requirements, to prevent disruption from their normal routine.
- We will feed dogs apart from each other, to ensure they all get their own food and to prevent any food guarding behaviour.
- It is recommended you provide slightly more than you think will be needed. If we do run out we will endeavour to purchase their usual food and this will be charged to your bill.
- We keep an emergency supply of high quality kibble to ensure there is always food available.
Keeping You Updated
- During your dogs stay we will send pictures and videos direct to your Whatsapp and, with your permission, share some on our Facebook page. We know how much people miss their dogs and it's reassuring to get updates and see that they are happy and being well cared for.
- We are happy to speak to you on the phone if you want to talk to us while your dog is in our care.
